Q. Do your meals come frozen?

A. No – all our meals come to you fresh ready to eat or reheat. You can freeze most of them on day of delivery for use at a later date.

 

Q. Is your meat organic?

A. No but all of our meat are sourced locally where they are raised free range in fields and grass fed or in the case of game are wild.

 

Q. Where do your fish and shell fish come from?

A. We source our fish products from only the most reputable suppliers.  All our fish is fully traceable and is MSC certified.

 

Q. Is there a minimum order?

A. No, there is not a minimum order requirement.

 

Q. Can I order by telephone?

A. You certainly can!  Call 0844 573 1653

 

Q. Is it safe to send food through the post?

A. Your order will be packed with sealed ice packs which will keep your food cool until it is delivered.

 

Q. Why do I need to order by the Tuesday before my delivery arrives?

A. As your food is fresh it has to be specially prepared the time allows us to receive in all ingredients fresh then hand make all your food and send it all out on the one day.

 

Q. Thursdays aren’t a good day for me for delivery

A. We are able to offer pre 12 deliveries in many areas of the UK, also we can send your order to an alternative address such as your work or family or friend and we can give delivery drivers special instructions on where to leave you order i.e. – next door. Alternatively we will try our up most to accommodate your needs.

 

Q. Do you use your own deliver drivers?

A. No we use a very reliable courier service.

 

Q. What should I do if my order doesn't arrive?

A. If your parcel does not arrive please contact us by phone on 0844 573 1653 or e-mail at ask@thescottishgourmet.com. Our customer services are available to take your call until 6pm weekdays, and we will endeavour to track the parcel for you.

 

Q. How do I cook my gourmet food?

A. Full cooking instructions and ingredients are provided with a ll of our dishes. Most of them can be done in the microwave or the oven. We recommend oven though.

 

Q. Do your meals come with vegetables?

A. Some of our dishes may come with vegetables but it will say so in the menu. We do have a dedicated section for vegetables on this website or on page 13 of your menu

 

Q Portion Sizes

A. Dishes are designed to be part of your main meal. The majority of our customers say they are very happy with the portion sizes

 

Q. I/we have allergies, coeliac etc due you have any special dishes?

A. We don’t have any special dishes for this currently but as dishes are made to order it is possible outside busy times to prepare you dishes to you dietary needs. Simply contact us with your requirement and we will do our up most to help.
